Adventure Ted's Clubhouse
Project Overview
Adventure Ted’s Clubhouse is a new digital content series from the Childhood Cancer Society, designed to uplift children and families battling cancer through storytelling, music, and positive activities. I helped build the visual foundation for the series by establishing the brand’s creative direction — and led the creation of the main parallax animation and YouTube thumbnails that introduced the Clubhouse to audiences.
Initially designed as an outro, the parallax animation’s imaginative tone resonated so strongly with the leadership team and CEO that it was repurposed into the series’ official trailer.
Challenge
The challenge was to create visuals that captured the cozy, adventurous spirit of Adventure Ted’s Clubhouse without feeling juvenile. The parallax animation and promotional designs needed to feel welcoming to children while also appealing to families and donors, striking a balance between playfulness and sophistication.
Solution
I first established the visual identity by blending a cozy cabin aesthetic with a playful collage style, setting the tone through a limited color palette, textures, and consistent brand elements.
For the parallax animation, I illustrated all assets — including the environment, characters, and supporting visuals — and layered them in After Effects to create an immersive, storybook-like sequence with depth and movement. The final animation embodied the sense of exploration, hope, and warmth that the brand aimed to evoke.
Additionally, I designed the YouTube thumbnails aligned with the Clubhouse’s visual identity to promote upcoming episodes across digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience across all touchpoints.
